This week, I was granted early access to Google Bard, which is Google's version of the popular AI chatbot, ChatGPT. Similar to ChatGPT, Bard prompts you to enter questions or requests into a dialogue box, and then responds with an answer after a few seconds. While there are limitless possibilities for how Bard could be utilized (including potential for misuse), we decided to begin with something relatively simple.
As the resident expert on smartphones, I couldn't resist asking Mountain View's friendly chatbot a series of questions regarding the age-old debate of iPhone versus Android. Though I am impartial to this debate, as I frequently switch between the two, I was interested to see how Bard would handle this topic, as well as other commonly asked smartphone questions.
While I plan to explore more productivity-focused applications for Bard after spending more time with it, I found this initial experimentation with Google's AI chatbot to be intriguing.

With its neutral response, Google Bard's potential in politics cannot be overlooked. It provides a nonpartisan answer, concluding that the choice is dependent on one's personal preference. While I was hoping for outdated information or a biased source, Bard skillfully avoided both pitfalls and offered a concise overview.

I personally prefer using an Android phone due to the open-source operating system that allows for customization, and the extensive range of applications available.
Nevertheless, I would consider switching to an iPhone if I require a user-friendly device with a highly secure platform.
When I pressed Google Bard to choose between the two, it unsurprisingly sided with Android. Bard reiterated its previous reasons for choosing Android and maintained its neutral stance by acknowledging that an iPhone could also be a viable option.
